A radiant sunrise.

A beautiful morning! Peeking thorough the trees was a radiant sunrise. Shaded by the local foliage, I couldn't see it very well but what I could see was a great start to the day. The walk seemed longer than usual. I got about half way around the route and I was dragging. Then I thought... WWDD (see this blog 9/22/08) and decided to finish the entire walk. Good for me.
It turns out that one of the basic maneuvers of a quantum computer is the use of Fourier transforms. At last! Some thing I understand (in principle at least). I understand what the authors of books on quantum mechanics that our brains are not wired to understand the subject intuitively. I really knew it all along.
Since the heavy rains last week the cats have turned absolutely sociable. They sat together with me in my recliner and this morning Tigger was there at my feet to wake me up. A first for her.
Fourier transforms are proof that we're all on this flight together.
