Yesterday I attended the monthly meeting of EAA Chapt One at historic Flabob airport. At the same time a fly-in of airplanes built by Meyers Aviation. Pictured here is a trainer ult for the Navy just after WWI. Fully aerobatic, two of the three antiques present flew from Wisconsin and Illinois. A real old time adventure! Check out the sturdy rotary engine and the fixed prop. These guys flew at about 90 mph in still air. Tomorrow I'll show you Ryan's more recent entry designed to out perform the venerable. V Tail bonanza.
The chapter meeting was ill attended. Very few people. I've been there when the large hangar was full and yesterday there were less than twenty. I suppose attendance ebbs and flows.
Chapter One is proof that we're all on this flight together.
