The fire nearest my house has been about 70% surrounded but it's still burning houses and disrupting people lives. When will we learn not to build in fire areas and flood plains?
As the days get shorter the later rising of the sun is apparent. Since my morning departure time is fairly well set, the change in the length of morning shadows is apparent. I'm focused on standing straight up on my daily walk. No more bent over.
Eve with the local fires and the attendant ash, the morning was beautiful. The visibility seemed good from the ground. But everything is covered in ashes and that comes form somewhere.
On the walk: no animals and a single airplane leaving KFUL. Somehow coming back on the home stretch I recall seeing a lot of people out starting their day. More than usual. Coincidence? I think not.
In spite of the destructive fires we're all on this flight together.
