Mushrooms and felines.

I was met this morning on my walk by a dark grey cat who decided to check me out. He walked around me once the deigned to allow me to pet him. I've never touched a cat with a coat so thick. After checking me out he accompanied me halfway up the block. Then disappeared.
The photo on the left is one of the variety of mushrooms you've seen before. On the right is a different 'shroom. Lower to the ground with a broader and darker cap. These two groups of mushrooms appeared within a few yards of each other but are not visible anywhere else on my route. Maybe it's related somehow to Fairy Rings.
Mushrooms on cloudy days are the result of us all being on this flight together.
