The DMV and the 60th post.0

This is the 600th post to this blog (thanks to Deb for starting it all), and the news is I passed! Periodically the state of California decides to question whether or not I have the skills required to drive a car in this state. This year my license expires so off to the Bureau I went to prove my knowledge about the laws in California and everything. It's been 5 years since I was last tested. I breezed through paying $31 and the eye test. I can still read a letter at a time and understand it. Off to the man to get my photo taken and a print of my right thumb. I'm part of the system again with the print and all. The last event was the written test which I successfully negotiated (barely). But I fooled them again! I'm glad that's over When I showed up there, an hour early, the line was already about 60-70 people already. But knock the DMV all you like but I was out of there a half hour after they opened. They sure know how to get the job done. And everyone was pleasant. And using my renewed drivers licence I am legal to fly again (but I won't) Granted, they had just opened for the day so the stress level was at its lowest for the day. But I'm good to go for a while.
Or not.
The DMV is proof that we're all on this flight together.
