Mushrooms are back.

Mushrooms are back. Their appearance doesn't seem to correlate with temperature or season. Maybe it's related to days since it last rained. Notice the different species. These have a darker color and the cap is flatter and lower to the ground than the last bunch (see June 2, 2009). The earlier mushrooms looked like they were hallucinogenic (I didn't try them) but these look like the poisonous type. But it's nice to see a cheery face in the morning.
My latest read is very interesting. Searching for the source of consciousness they try to extend physics beyond quantum theory. Really far out ideas but each smacks of a possible truth which could fundamentally change our view of the world. Even to the point of creating a new form of mathematics called p-adic. I don't pretend to understand it but it sounds like counting backwards where the small numbers count as the biggest and the big numbers count the least. Go figure.
New kinds of mathematics are proof that we're all on this flight together.
